Churches in Taiwan, led by Taiwanese.
Coaching pastors, planting churches, reaching students and sending teams are four parts of one piece of work. Here is what each one does, and what it costs.

Why Taiwanese leaders
Of Taiwan's 23 million people, fewer than 4 in 100 are born-again Christians. In Taichung, three million people share the city with 252 evangelical churches.
Missionaries can start things. Taiwanese pastors are the ones who will carry them on. So we put our weight behind them.
Coaching Taiwanese pastors
Franz and Ming have finished seminary. Now their two years of hands-on coaching begin. Coaching is what turns trained pastors into church planters who can lead on their own, and it is how churches in Taiwan come to be led by Taiwanese.

Planting churches
With Taichung International Fellowship we have planted Hope Fellowship, our first Taiwanese church, in 2020, and All Praise, our first Indonesian church, in 2025.
Each new church is a place where neighbors can hear the gospel in their own language, and where new believers are discipled by people who live next door.
Reaching students
Outreach Bible studies meet on five university campuses. Through camps, meals and friendships, students move from curiosity to faith.
Students are coming to faith, being discipled and joining local churches.

Sending teams and interns
More than 40 teams from churches and ministries have served in Taichung. Young adults come for internships of 6 to 24 months, with real ministry and real mentoring.
